  • Compensation for County Extension Directors (p. 14 of 25).  Due to the amended responsibilities of the CED position and the budget constraints, the stipend for the CED for 2009-2010 has been modified. Annual review of the amount of this compensation will be considered, and any changes would be effective on October 1.

  • Funding -- Operational Support (p. 20 of 25).  Due to questions and further consideration of this section, the following strategies will be followed:

    1. A reasonable budget to support the operational functions of the county Extension office (e.g. rent, travel, phone, office supplies and program delivery costs) will continue to be the responsibility of the county where the educator is housed. Funding for travel between counties within the EERAs will be supported through dollars generated by the program being delivered or will be managed to ensure that reciprocal support is provided by counties collaborating in program delivery. Counties may establish an EERA account to pool cost recovery funds to support some travel for educators for EERA program planning and delivery.
    2. Counties are not expected to contribute from their county commissioner appropriations to an EERA fund that would support travel for educators within the EERA.
